For a number of years we’ve been proud to be an affiliate and supporter of US-C-SOG. These guys are the nation’s largest full-time NGO specializing in Corrections Special Operations Training; and were one of the first non-military organizations to begin utilizing our HEL-STAR 5 Multi-Function Marker Lights.
The HEL-STAR 5’s unique conformal design allows US-C-SOG to mark their personnel and K9’s, keeping them safe in the hostile environment of correctional facilities worldwide. At the helm of US-C-SOG is Senior Team Leader (STL) Joseph Garcia, known far and wide for pioneering the training and deployment of Giant Schnauzer’s in corrections special operations.
If you’ve ever had the opportunity of witnessing these ‘gentle’ giants in action, you’ll be aware of just how fearless, awesome and incredibly well-trained they are, especially Max the original CSO K9. Throughout our involvement with STL Garcia and US-C-SOG we’ve been privileged to be part of their expansion as they continue to push the boundaries in their specialized sphere of expertise.
A recent collaboration included the introduction of our K1K9 Lights, developed with input from US-C-SOG. We’re glad to be making a difference to the safety and well-being of those facing the ongoing threats and challenges of keeping the peace in the high-risk world of correctional facilities.
